STATE DIVISIONS FORUM

TOP

The State Divisions Forum provides a collective voice for the Divisional Network in South Australia. It seeks to improve the coordination and communication between Divisions of General Practice in South Australia so that the interests and concerns of Divisions can be identified and addressed collectively; to develop cooperative ties between Divisions by meeting regularly to share information and ideas; to develop collective responses to and policies on issues that affect Divisions as a group; to promote these responses through recommendations to SADI's Board of Directors and to provide an avenue for members of the Board to meet with Divisions and to report back and consult about issues that are being discussed. The Forum meets twice a year and brings together Chairs, Medical Directors and Executive Officers of Divisions with the SADI Board and senior staff.

REFERENCE GROUPS OF SADI

TOP

Urban Divisions' Group
The aim of the Urban Divisions' Group (UDG) is to improve cooperation and communication between urban Divisions so that the interests and concerns of urban Divisions can be identified and addressed collectively.

Current membership includes two representatives of each of the five urban Divisions, and any urban GP nominee on the SADI Board not otherwise a member. The SADI Chief Executive Officer attends as an observer, as does any additional staff member of SADI with support responsibilities to the urban Divisions.

Rural Divisions' Group
The aim of the Rural Divisions' Group (RDG) is to improve cooperation and communication between rural Divisions so that their interests and concerns can be identified and addressed collectively. Its nominees on the SADI Board provide a mechanism for two-way reporting on issues being addressed by SADI.

The composition of the RDG is a GP nominee from each of the nine rural Divisions with the rural chapter of Adelaide Southern also sending a GP nominee to meetings.

SADI Advisory Committees
SADI has Advisory Committees in the areas of Informatics and Mental Health and Health Services Integration/Enhanced Primary Care.
